I love coffee. Sometimes people try to switch my coffee to decaf when I’m not looking. I can always tell the difference. I also like Pringles, but only the reduced fat kind because they crunch better when you bite into them and they don’t leave grease on your fingers. I’m…

When I was looking to buy my wedding invitations (back in April), I found a lot of designers on Etsy. After narrowing it down to a couple different designs/companies, I contacted both for their pricing list. One was pretty significantly more expensive–almost $2 per invitation more. Which I think all…

When talking to people about photography, I hear one phrase over and over again: Kids and dogs are the hardest subjects to photograph.
I, personally, don’t have this problem with my clients…kids and dogs are among my favorite things to photograph. Maybe it’s because I like to have any excuse…

Last week, Sean and I had our morning coffee on the balcony and watched as the Enterprise shuttle was pulled down the Hudson on a tug boat. It’s on its way to the Intrepid and I can’t wait to see it up close at the museum!

What Light Through Yonder Window Breaks

I loved the way this shadow looked cast against the wall. I had to snap the photo quickly because within a minute and a half, it was already too dark to photograph. Seriously…did anyone else know that the sun sets in only about 3 minutes?!?! Because as much as I hate to admit it, I didn’t.

It is the east and Juliet is the sun. Except that, evidenced by your picture, the sun actually sets in the west. Therefore, this is not Juliet. So what light DOES break through yonder window…Arrrrgh! It’s fat Uncle Carl and his designer windows. *Makes note to send uncle Carl a new robe for Christmas…and perhaps some drapes.

Uncle Carl, huh? Make sure to get him a long and thick robe.

  3. TJ Says:

It’ll beat the lace kimono he currently wears.

Wow- until I read the post, I thought that was a professional stock photo. If you ever give up writing, I think you have an alternative career…

  6. WordVixen Says:

Oops. I didn’t realize you actually were looking at photography for a career! :-) I’ve been bad about keeping up….

    Thanks Amber!

    Hey Lori,
Haha, thanks for the compliment! And no worries. I, too have been absent from the blogosphere lately! It’s awesome that you thought this was a stock photo, though! Perhaps there’s an avenue there I haven’t yet explored.
