You Know I’m Really Sick
You know I’m really sick when I trade in my daily coffee intake for tea. And a couple of weeks ago…I was incapacitated, I was so sick.
I’ve mentioned before that I typically hate tea with the same passion that Palin hates a woman’s right to choose. There have been rare exceptions such as some of the loose tea brews featured at Alice’s Tea Cup. But any sort of Earl Grey tea bag kind of brand makes my stomach lurch.
BUT Sean found this Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea. It. Is. Delicious. It tastes like Big Red chewing gum! It was perfect for the week that my throat was swollen and I couldn’t breathe. And luckily, my coffee cravings have since returned. A sure sign that I am feeling better.
Sidebar: I fully expect to see some hate mail based on my Palin comment. I’m bracing myself…

Yep, not so sure it’s that Palin hates the right to choose, it’s probably more that people such as yourself (you know, city elitists to be politie about it) despise her for having a different viewpoint. A viewpoint that makes you uncomfortable because you know that what you support is, in fact, infanticide and it’s a very difficult process to wrestle with the cognitive dissonance that evokes. Easier to lash out at someone’s supposed ignorance than it is to resolve your own conflicts on the matter. It’s amazing how the pro-choice side of this argument has tried to convince themselves it is the other side that is the intolerant side. Perhaps a complicit mainstream media is to blame. After all, the majority of them are writey-folks like yourself, most of whom have this tendency to identify themselves as the avant garde, cuttinge edge of society who disdain fundamental truths. But that’s OK. Us Right to Lifers will continue to cheerfully disagree with your assessments and hope to change hearts on this matter through the truth, not ad homminem, false and gratuitious attacks on the opposition, such as yours on Sarah Palin. Thanks.
Anyway, hope you feel better.
Da Man.
