I love coffee. Sometimes people try to switch my coffee to decaf when I’m not looking. I can always tell the difference. I also like Pringles, but only the reduced fat kind because they crunch better when you bite into them and they don’t leave grease on your fingers. I’m…

I’ve known Holly and Rob for years now. Since Holly and I worked together on Nick News. She was one of my first clients and one of my most loyal. Just before the holidays, I photographed her family pictures. She mentioned specifically that she wanted an “Anthropologie” look with the…

You might remember the fact that Sean and I were searching for an old “It’s better in the Bahamas” 70s mug? No? Well, I’m too lazy to go back through my archives and find it…maybe I will later. But right now? It’s 8am and I just now got my coffee…

You Know I’m Really Sick

You Know Im Really Sick

You know I’m really sick when I trade in my daily coffee intake for tea. And a couple of weeks ago…I was incapacitated, I was so sick.

I’ve mentioned before that I typically hate tea with the same passion that Palin hates a woman’s right to choose. There have been rare exceptions such as some of the loose tea brews featured at Alice’s Tea Cup. But any sort of Earl Grey tea bag kind of brand makes my stomach lurch.

BUT Sean found this Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea. It. Is. Delicious. It tastes like Big Red chewing gum! It was perfect for the week that my throat was swollen and I couldn’t breathe. And luckily, my coffee cravings have since returned. A sure sign that I am feeling better.

Sidebar: I fully expect to see some hate mail based on my Palin comment. I’m bracing myself…

All Things Owl

All Things Owl

This is one of my favorite teapots. And although I really dislike tea (except for the very expensive kind), I love teapots. I have way too many for a girl who hardly ever drinks the stuff.

But of all my useless teapots, this one is my favorite.  And I can’t even accept the kudos for finding it. I was in Anthropologie with Liza and Maddie when all of a sudden Liza was holding this ceramic owl in my face. ” This is so you,” she said. And I don’t know what it was that made her say that…because I’ve never been a huge fan of owls or any kind of bird. But holy hell did I love that teapot!

I bought it on the spot. Which maybe I shouldn’t have done because a week later I lost my job. And ever since, I’ve been slightly obsessed with all things “Owl.”

Coffee Teacup

Coffee Teacup

This is my coffee teacup and coffee tea biscuits. Obviously, they’re both meant for tea…but I don’t drink a whole lot of tea.  However, it’s the perfect size for those early mornings when I need my morning java, but don’t have enough time to drink a whole mug’s worth. And with only drinking this amount in the mornings before leaving, I’m not about to explode with urine by the time I get to work. Ingenious, I know.

These “tea” cups can be found here at Alice’s Tea Cup.
