I love coffee. Sometimes people try to switch my coffee to decaf when I’m not looking. I can always tell the difference. I also like Pringles, but only the reduced fat kind because they crunch better when you bite into them and they don’t leave grease on your fingers. I’m…

I’ve known Holly and Rob for years now. Since Holly and I worked together on Nick News. She was one of my first clients and one of my most loyal. Just before the holidays, I photographed her family pictures. She mentioned specifically that she wanted an “Anthropologie” look with the…

You might remember the fact that Sean and I were searching for an old “It’s better in the Bahamas” 70s mug? No? Well, I’m too lazy to go back through my archives and find it…maybe I will later. But right now? It’s 8am and I just now got my coffee…

The Beautiful Isla {New York City Newborn Photographer}

Isla was born in late summer and I met her mother months and months before. I feel like she was long-awaited and worth every minute of suspense. Her parents decided to not find out her gender prior to her birthday (which was super exciting). It also meant I couldn’t plan too many props ahead of time–I had to wait to choose appropriate pillows and such.

Her shoot came out stunning. Based on the chats I had with Isla’s parents, we used props that were meaningful and pointed…such as the Shel Silverstein books which were a gift to Isla from her grandmother. And her father’s fireman helmet (obviously, he is a firefighter here in the city and without being a cliche, I’ll say it just once, he’s a hero to many).

Here are a few of my favorites from the session–Isla, welcome to the world, beautiful girl. Your daddy is going to have his hands full once you’re old enough to date! Maybe I can introduce you to my nephew when the time comes. ;0)

The Multi-Cultural Henny

Meet Henny! Henny was born in April (Hm, I think it was April) and you might remember her mommy’s maternity session. Henny is a traditional Norwegian name (Kristin is from Norway) and her daddy is Canadian. But they’re all living in New York! This kid is going to be a globe trotter–I can already tell!

Henny was an absolute doll during her shoot. She was so peaceful. Never cried. Sat in every position we put her in, looked at the camera…she was just beautiful.

The other key part we all noted about Henny–she inherited her father’s hairline! Check out the last photo where we found a way to highlight their similarities. Hopefully, she grows out of that!
