I love coffee. Sometimes people try to switch my coffee to decaf when I’m not looking. I can always tell the difference. I also like Pringles, but only the reduced fat kind because they crunch better when you bite into them and they don’t leave grease on your fingers. I’m…

I don’t know why this keeps happening–the falling behind on blogging. It’s pathetic. There’s no excuse. I’m a terrible person, etc, etc. That being said, I have (quite literally) 10 shoots or more that I have not blogged yet. And because I’m sort of OCD, the thought of those unblogged,…

Suzanne and I wandered around the waterfalls at Lucia Falls in OR. She was totally cool, 8 weeks pregnant and still 100% willing to do just about anything. She climbed on rocks, hiked down to the water and then proceeded to dive right in.
One of the main questions brides…

bebop

No matter how often I wipe down those eyes of hers…they remain gross and crusty and have a faint reddish hue. As if she hit the sauce a bit too hard the night before and is paying for it in saggy, baggy, crusty eyes.
It’s ok, Bebop. All us ladies…

The M Family {New York/New Jersey Family Portrait Photographer}

This is the M-Family–Christopher, their son, was one of the students I photographed in my preschool photography business. They loved their school photos so much that they wanted a family session so that they could capture portraits of little Genevieve as well. I also want everyone to take note of their cat in the last image–their cat (which I think they’ve had for 10 years or so) is named Grey Cat. Like Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Well, that cat was named Cat…but still. It’s similar!

It was such a blustery day that we all had to travel inside…it was just too cold for the kids to even enjoy themselves.

A Christmas Elf

This is Nicole…photographed as Santa’s special helper! She had all the little accessories needed to transform into an adorable little elf. And BOY was she quick to smile! I had never before been in the presence of such a happy baby. Or maybe I was just used to my niece and the way she used to scream. So the laughter was a little startling.

And not to mention, Nicole’s family was so incredibly nice. We all ordered pizza and chatted while we photographed. I really have some amazing clients and I can’t wait to see Nicole & family again soon!

La-La-La-La-Layla | New York BABY PHOTOGRAPHER

Ahhh, the beautiful Layla. There are so many songs I can put your name into and the whole time I was editing these, I had a whole list of random songs stuck in my head. Layla’s mom, Tamara reads this blog (Hi, Tamara!) and I just want to say that I LOVED these little tutu outfits she chose for this shoot. We joked that depending on whether Layla grows up to be a girlie girl or a tomboy, she’s going to either love these shots or hate them!

On a side note, Layla’s daddy is a chef at (what I hear is) an AWESOME BBQ restaurant in the city and IAMSOEXCITEDTOGOEATTHERE! As a southern girl, I loooove my barbeque. And if they have classic southern sweet tea (the kind that’s brewed with molasses)–it may just win my heart. The restaurant, that is. If it were legal to do so, that restaurant and I would be living together in delicious sin.

Cheeks!

Cheeks!

Look at these cheeks. I mean, seriously…I could just dip him in honey mustard and eat those chubby cheeks like chicken nuggets. Is that too creepy?

Seriously, though, this is Gabe…the sweetest and most well-behaved 1-year old I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. And his parents were equally enjoyable. We had a fun day filled with playgrounds, puppies and chubby cheeks!
